Masters of Accreditation

An online degree is not worth the paper it is printed on if the institution that awarded it is not accredited by the right agency. With business degrees being in vogue these days, it makes sense to ensure that your MBA earned online is properly accredited so that employers do not entertain second thoughts when hiring you.

Your safest bet is a degree accredited by one of the six regional accrediting agencies. Their stamp of approval is accepted by almost all employers.

Recognition of a business degree by a professional body such as The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB) is also a reliable option, though one step lower than a regional accreditation.

A few prospective employers also accept degrees that are approved by the Distance Education and Training Council (DETC). This option is the “something is better than nothing” of accreditation. It’s better to earn a degree that’s at least accredited by a distance learning council than one that’s not approved at all.
